Baby Sloths Learning to Climb
In a sleepy corner of Costa Rica there is a very peculiar but extraordinary sanctuary. Run by Judy Avey-Arroyo for 20 years, this is the only sanctuary in the world devoted to saving orphaned and injured sloths, and is home to over 160 of them, some of whom have become an internet sensation.

Years: Playing The Rings Of A Tree
German artist Bartholomäus Traubeck found a way to “play” cross-sections of a tree, generating sound by scanning the spinning rings on the surface of the wood with a PlayStation Eye Camera. This data is transmitted through the control arm (which has a stepper motor attached) to a computer, which generates a music track.
